shop#149 Utsuwa Zoshi

Look at these cute, animal-shaped spoons! They are adorable. You can get these at Utsuwa Zoshi in Kappabashi Tool Street.






















This shop is also selling dishes and bags.


 These bags are made in Kurashiki, Okayama prefecture, where is famous for indigo dye. You can get these at reasonable prices.

shop#148 Asakusa Rusk

The product is a rusk, a sliced bread with butter and sugar baked again until it is crispy. Flavors are plain, earl gray and blueberry. Its show window was already decorated in Halloween.

The shop is located on the left going through Kaminarimon.






shop#147 Kaede

Kaede is a Japanese sweets shop. You will enjoy various kinds of Dango here. I like Mitarashi-Dango, skewered rice dumplings with sweet soy sauce.

Location: at the corner of Denbouin-Dori and Rock-Dori in Asakusa.

Kineya is a Senbei (rice cracker) store. There are shops in Nakamise and Shin-Nakamise streets. The pictures are Kineya in Shin-Nakamise, where you can see the performance of baking Senbei. The big red lantern is a sign.

Kokonoe is a Japanese sweets shop selling Age-Manju. You will taste it from many flavors just cooked at the back. Flavors are for example; sweet beans, sesame, matcha, pumpkin, custard, or Sakura. Whenever I pass through in front of this shop, people gather to buy Age-Manju.

Watanabe Megane is a shop selling glasses, especially unique and exclusive ones. You will also find rare antique glasses. The shop is founded in 1887, so it has more than 100 years' history.

Here is the only specialty store of bamboo products, using Japanese bamboo trees, in Kappabashi Tool Street. Kondo sells the tableware and kitchenware made of bamboo for everyday use.

Propack sells various packages, foodstuffs, big bottles of sauces, stationary or interior decorations at inexpensive prices. In September, the main decorations are Halloweens. Customers are not only shops and restaurants but also individual consumers.
