CHICKEN STAND (closed on September 13, 2015)

Chicken Stand is located next to Asakusa Mokubatei (a public theater) on Okuyama Omairi Street, where you can eat fried chickens with various dip sauces. Chicken cream croquette is also popular.

CHAKURA

A standing cafe of Matcha sweets is opened recently on the Denboin Street in Asakusa. Shaved ice is made by naturally frozen ice from Yamanashi prefecture and Matcha syrup is originally made in this cafe.

Sekai Cafe

This cafe is convenient for tourists. You can use free wi-fi and free 2 prong outlet. Halal foods and vegetarian foods are available. You can also buy a haral instant ramen. They have not a private pray room, but they can provide a space on a 2nd floor temporarily to pray.

ViTO is an ice cream shop opened recently near the Sumida Park. Gelato is so good.
There are some comfortable seats upstairs watching green of the park.

The new shopping building, ROX-3G, has just opened. There are 30 shops in 4 floors. For example,

1F: restaurants (Ramen, Tendon, Itarian), cafe, ice cream shop, popcorn shop, and various goods

2F: drug store, Kimono shop, shoes shop, Shabu-shabu restaurant (coming soon)

3F: Nitori (home), Aoyama (suits)

4F: Shimamura (home and cloths), Sports wear shop

Cafe W.E

Cafe W.E is located on the bank of the Sumida River in the Sumida Park, 5 minutes walk from Asakusa Station. You can enjoy a nice river view from the window. Roast Beef Sandwich is my recommendation.

Have you ever heard Yakisoba-pan? It is a bread stuffed with fried noodles, which is popular in Japanese bakeries. At Yatsutokido, Yakisoba-pan is made after taking an order. You will love it.

shop#133 Asakusa Silk Pudding

Do you like custard pudding? You can choose from many flavors at Asakusa Silk Pudding, such as coffee, sesame and cheese as well as caramel and standard custard. Two shops are in asakusa area and a cafe is in Komagata (5 mins from Kaminarimon). Name of the cafe is TestaRossa Cafe.

Umezono started business in Asakusa in 1854. It has a Japanese sweets shop facing a street and a cafe inside. There are many kinds of desserts using Anko (red bean jam) or Mochi (rice cake) as well as Manju or Dorayaki (bean jam pancake).

shop#116 Kagetsudo

The best-selling and famous product of this shop is Jumbo Meron Pan, a sweet soft bread. Ice Jumbo Meron Pan is the limited version until August 31. The shop is located just around the corner of the end of Nakamise to the right. Many people are always lined up to buy Meron Pan.

shop#106 Tokiwado

Amazingly, this sweets shop has a history of 250 years, located just next to Kaminarimon Gate in Asakusa. Kaminari-Okoshi is a traditional Japanese sweet made of rice, which has many flavors e.g., brown sugar, Matcha and almond. A restaurant is on the 2nd floor.

Actually, this is a cafe at the Nishisando Street (street#8) but they also sell some Japanese toys. 
Do you know Daruma, which is a red round one with no eyeball? When you have something good, you put a first eyeball and pray another fortune. Once your wish come true, you put the other eyeball to Daruma.
