December 17, 18 and 19, 2015 at Sensoji
Hagoita-Ichi is the very last event throughout the year in Asakusa. During this event, there are many stalls selling Hagoita in Sensoji. Hagoita is a traditional Japanese toy for girls, which is kind of a racket made by wood. In Oshogatsu (beginning of a year), we used to play Hagoita, a game like a badminton. However, these beautiful Hagoita is not for praying game but for decorating as a charm to protect girls from evils (that means bad guys).
