Asakusa Touroue is an art event held at Yougoudo, Yakushido and Awashimado (small temples within Sensoji Temple). The lights of lanterns are beautiful at night.

Rokkakudo in Sensoji
Rokkakudo is the oldest architecture in Sensoji Temple. This hexagonal wooden temple was built in 1618, very early period of Edo era.

Kappabashi Dougu Matsuri (Kappabashi Tool Festival) 2015
Kappabashi Dougu Matsuri will be held from October 6 thru 12 this year.
The price of kitchen tools, cutlery and dishes will be much more reasonable than usual. On October 11, the chopstick user contest will be held. On October 12, first 1000 people can eat SANMA (saury) at the Kinryu Park. The ticket will be provided in front of Shogai Gakushu Center (Lifelong Study Center) on Kappabashi Tool Street from 10:45 am on October 12.

100 yen shops changed for Halloween
A seasonal space at 100 yen shops, is changed for Halloween already. Daiso is on the 4th floor of Asakusa ROX. Seria is on the 6th floor of Askusa Ekimise.

CHICKEN STAND (closed on September 13, 2015)
Chicken Stand is located next to Asakusa Mokubatei (a public theater) on Okuyama Omairi Street, where you can eat fried chickens with various dip sauces. Chicken cream croquette is also popular.

CHAKURA
A standing cafe of Matcha sweets is opened recently on the Denboin Street in Asakusa. Shaved ice is made by naturally frozen ice from Yamanashi prefecture and Matcha syrup is originally made in this cafe.
