shop#150 Yasai-no-Oyaki (closed)

[This shop was closed in early 2015.]

Yasai-no-Oyaki means vegetable Manju. This shop is selling some flavors of Manju, but the best, I think, is Karinto-Manju. You can eat a hot Manju at the store. Manju is normally soft, but this one is different; the flour skin is crispy and crunchy with sweet red bean paste inside. Try it!

Located on Tanuki-Dori (Raccoon Street) in Asakusa.

  1. The karinto manju here were one of the most amazing things I ate while in Japan, and I ate A LOT of amazing food! I never saw them anywhere else while on our trip and I am so happy to find the name of them here on your website, since so many Japanese didn't know what I was talking about! I'm going to Japan next year and will be returning to Asakusa to eat these delicious little treasures while I'm there. Don't miss them!

By the way, I am so happy to hear that you are a big fun of Kanrito Manju! I will tell the shop manager that he has a fun in abroad.
