shop#116 Kagetsudo

The best-selling and famous product of this shop is Jumbo Meron Pan, a sweet soft bread. Ice Jumbo Meron Pan is the limited version until August 31. The shop is located just around the corner of the end of Nakamise to the right. Many people are always lined up to buy Meron Pan.

June 17, 2015 --- The main shop is moved to the other side of Sensoji from the place in front of Hozomon gate to Nishisando.

This is a Taiyaki shop, located at Shin-Nakamise Street. Taiyaki is usually hot, but for summer you can buy a cold one with whipped cream stuffed inside^^

In this shop, a big machine makes hot and fresh Ningyoyaki (sponge cake with bean paste). It is fun to see Japanese innovative food machinery. Taste a hot one.

This is the only shop selling goods for dogs and cats in Nakamise, having a history of more than 120 years. For example, dog collars and leashes, snacks, cloths and even wigs. Look at the Samurai wigs for small dogs...I don't think dogs gonna like these though...

This shop newly opened this spring is located at Kappabashi Tool Street. You will find interior decoration in Japanese style. I like the little cute goldfishes made of glass.

shop#109 Sengoku Dama

Who is your favorite commander in Sengoku Era? Takeda Shingen? Oda Nobunaga? My favorite is Date Masamune, who was a commander ruled around Tohoku 450 years ago. It is said that Darth Vader was designed affected by Date Masamune's black armor.

In this shop, you can find accessories and stationery which have heraldic emblems of these commanders.

This is a Japanese sweets shop selling Karinto and Mamegashi. Karinto is a fried dough cookies and Mamegashi is made from beans. According to a saleswoman, the best selling flavor to foreign people is Wasabi. It tastes good!

This is not a 100 yen shop but a 300 yen shop, located on the 5th floor of Asakusa Ekimise. All items are sold at 300 yen.

Amazingly, this sweets shop has a history of 250 years, located just next to Kaminarimon Gate in Asakusa. Kaminari-Okoshi is a traditional Japanese sweet made of rice, which has many flavors e.g., brown sugar, Matcha and almond. A restaurant is on the 2nd floor.
