Do you like Manga?

Kumazawa Book Store is opened recently on the 6th floor of Asakusa Matsuya (a department store). Here is a wonderful place for people who love Manga, because you can read 1000 sample Manga books. See a picture and you will see the word "見本", which means a sample copy. The comics are in Japanese, but it is one of the good ways to learn Japanese characters.

Asakusa Samba Carnival 2015

On August 29, 2015, the 34th Asakusa Samba Carnival was held in Asakusa.


Though it was raining slightly, a lot of people came to see this event.

LISZT is a sweets shop on the Denboin Street in Asakusa. Orange peel chocolate is very popular, but they also sell doughnuts, caramels and green tee leaves.

Fukagawa Hachiman Matsuri 2015

This weekend, a Matsuri at Tomioka Hachimangu Shrine, called Fukagawa Hachiman Matsuri, is held in Monzennakacho. It is known as Mizukake-Matsuri, which means a splashing water festival.





This festival is held around August 15 every year.
The nearest station is Monzennakacho station of Tozai Line and Toei Oedo Line.

A new sweets shop called Custard Lab Tokyo opened recently at ROX 3G in Asakusa. It is like a Chou a la creme, but the shell is not soft but crispy because it is Danish pastry with custard creme inside. It was very good^^

Fujiya is a shop selling Japanese Kimono and Setta (sandals), located along Nishi-Sando street in Asakusa.
When you buy Setta, choose Setta which is a little smaller than your foot. That is cool.

Sekine is located at the corner of Shin-Nakamise and Sushiya Street. This shop is popular for Shumai (steamed pork dumplings) among locals.
